There is a $10 restocking fee for any returns. I haven't done any exchanges but GS customer service is great so I feel it should be painless. One thing to note, if you crease the boots or wear them outside, you won't be able to return them. They have to be in brand new condition for a return/exchange.

Ok. Ten bucks a pop adds up. I do not intend upon "wearing" any boots that I wouldn't keep, only trying them on on a carpeted surface. If I walk across the floor and back once, would that crease them? This is why I prefer to just buy shoes in the store. Maybe I won't be buying after all. It's just too stressful not knowing my size.

Be sure to reach out to the folks at GS regarding sizing if you haven't already. They have a very good reputation for getting people in the correct size footwear.

Screw it. I just ordered an 11 1/2 D and we'll see if they fit. I'm going to wait on the 2nd pair until I get the first one right. I really wanted that cap toe boot in Crimson but will have to settle for the diesel.

I was going to do that as I was on their site late last night, but it said they are overwhelmed with size inquiries right now, plus you have to set up a profile on another site, etc. I wear a 12 in all sneakers, so just took their advice and went a half size down from there. My concern is the width as much as the length. Every time I've tried an 11 1/2 in something it's way too tight across the ball area.

You should be good. And there’s no restocking fee on exchanges if you need an 11 or 11E or 11.5E or 12.

Feet crave that double leather sole!

These discontinued bluchers from the ShoeMart are made by the same beloved craftsmen/women though with perhaps slightly inferior leather.

This may or may not be one of five pairs I snagged on closeout. :lookaround:

Will there be a restock of the earth diesel boot in 10.5 E anytime soon?
Also, I wish you had more dark brown shoes/boots in general. Most of your offerings are too light or strange to be versatile imo.
Thank you.

Unfortunately, this one will be a few months. This style happens to be one of our better sellers so we are having a hard time keeping the core sizes (9-11) in stock. This should be less common later in the year for some of these boot make-ups.

Would you say they're sleeker than the GS PTB?
They are very similar but perhaps a touch sleeker. I think the last used is very similar. They happen to fit me better than the Leo though. Perhaps a lower instep and less of a toe taper, based on the way they feel. The darker welt also helps percieved sleekness.

Everything else appears identical to Grant Stone besides the heel counter (celastic).

Really depends on the leather type, cxl is more prone to creasing than let's say Kudu. Hard to really say for sure though because it can also vary from hide to hide.

Nice, which pair did you grab today?
The Navy (ie blue/green) CXL Diesel. I can’t quite put my finger on it. Something about them is really appealing to me.

I feel the same way about the Maduro offerings (still want to get a pair of those) and the Ostrich. I was just getting my size dialed in when the Ostrich was offered and I’m glad I didn’t buy them then since I would have totally botched that size. Using conventional wisdom, I tried sizing down and various widths (total of 3 other sizes) before I finally figured it out…TTS for me.

Absolutely love my pair of Navy CXL Diesels. The variety of color they show in the sun vs shade is stunning. Plus I love the lack of a storm welt on this pair. So sleek...

I was wondering how much is a difference between a 10EEE and an 11E in the Floyd or the Leo last?
I tried on 10.5 EEE, 11 E, 11 EEE, and 11.5 E. The overall volume difference between the EEE and E pairs I found to be quite substantial. I measure 11.5 E on the brannock. Started at 11 E…too narrow, 11 EEE and my feet were swimming. Then 10 EEE and the volume felt good, but were a little short. Then I was about to give up and was encourage to try my brannock size 11.5 E and they’re perfect. Go figure!

Love it! As you can see above, this is what I did. Worked my way through several until it was dialed in. Good luck!
