I'll for sure be taking a pair of those chukka boots. I have a little time to decide between the tan suede and the earth waxed commander.

I'm pleased to see that these have three eyelet holes--easier to keep the lace ends equal length on both sides.

Since I threw out my old black pair of Navy boondockers, my only other pair of chukkas is a pair of Aldens in brown shell--they're not bad but I definitely do not like that they only have two eyelets.

The soles look like crepe to me--real brothel creepers.

@GrantStone how is the crepe soles? Never had crepe soles, only rubber dainite/dainite clones. Would be really cool to have a chukka boot in dark walnut CXL you guys use. Told myself I am only allowed one leather type in my rotation and have crimson, but may have to make an exception for these lol

I talked to Wyatt on Friday and we decided to try a 9.5 EEE. I ordered the Diesels in Dune that night. Wish me luck! I really hope they fit well. GS's quality + price is unreal.

Any chance the Dark Walnut Diesel will be available in EEE widths?

Unfortunately no plans for this one.

The best way to put it is they are different. More flexible, very quiet and a little spongy when walking. Since they still have leather insoles, midsoles, etc., it's not like wearing a Clarks chukka, but it's still soft. I have been wearing a boot with this sole and really like it.

Does Grant Stone use a shank with a crepe sole for the Chukkas?

Anything in the pipeline with a non-steel shank? Would be nice for a travel shoe.

We are just started developing a lounge-style loafer. Lighter weight, unlined, etc. Since it is not something we make every day it might take a little longer than normal to put together.
