We also wanted to share a photo of this chukka in development. It looks quite a bit different than our current line up, with the black suede, black welts and crepe sole. The pattern is just about settled; we are happy with the fit.

I really dig that Chukka in black suede. And the matching crepe sole won't look bad as they get dirty, as light colored crepe soles tend to do.

Yes. Diesels are definitely casual.

Of course depends where you live as to what that means in practice. Where I live, I could definitely get away with wearing Diesels with slacks and a jacket and would be “dressed up”.

Walk on some concrete or similar for a bit, and they won’t be slippery anymore once they get roughed up a bit.

I almost killed myself with these on our hardwood floors. Leaving the house the first time, I put them on outside as I was too scared going down the maple stairs. Felt like ice skating.
