We haven't finalized the color just yet, the finishing still needs some work. It is more of a brown, dark tobacco color, not a lot of red in this.

This is the Edward boot upper sample before lasting.

I don't think the base is light enough to be similar to the cigar, although it could be somewhere in the middle of these two.

It's weird how that doesn't work in reverse. I can never say to her, "Hey do you think you could _____ sometime today? It really needs to be cleaned."

Post power washing, pretty rugged suede leather, hit the toe once with the pressure washer and not even a mark. When they dry out, the color will return to normal. Oh, no water infiltration at all.

That is a beautiful leather and I’ve been on the fence with saddle tan forever. I just don’t know how to incorporate that color in my wardrobe. It’s so striking.

I haven’t had that issue. Seems to go with most everything. Especially denim or khakis.

Most of my denim and khakis are dark colors and at least in my mind, saddle tan creates too much contrast with its orange hues. Especially in an office environment. But I have the wedge sole in my cart so anytime now....

The Covid situation has brought on very casual dress for me. I have been in the office literally everyday since Covid started, wearing polos and colored Levis (Khaki, Gray, Charcoal, Black, Navy etc.). These shoes go fine with most of those.

I'm not sure I can go back to wearing real clothes to work

The other thing about these shoes is they truly are Saddle leather. You move your foot around in the shoe and it makes the same sounds as if you were sitting in a saddle on a horse. None of my other Grant Stone shoes make these noises.

Totally depends on the office environment, if suit/tie, then no way would they work, if casual, then no problem
