So that fabric that is included with new GS shoes/boots............makes a good mask View attachment 1421434

This made my day.

We just finished the 4th rendition of a Chukka that is under development. It's getting closer. Pretty happy with the pattern this time around. We will probably try something different for this outsole instead of leather or rubber, most likely crepe.

Woah, Grant Stone quality in a chukka!

My personal preference would be for a less workwear look for a chukka, so maybe less contrasty welt?

No crepe. Stick to leather or rubber please.

Was just about to say that, would love a dark welt for a slimmer look. Maybe a 270 degree welt for max sleekness?
...and a mini lug sole if possible with a cxl version please. Thank you!
This would be great

Sounds like we need to make a lot of styles :nodding:

What do I know, but perhaps a leather or rubber sole chukka would be a bit more mainstream and appeal to more people?

Especially if it had a dark welt ;)

I would tend to agree with you there. Our first few renditions all had darker welts and a variety of uppers. This photo above is just a sample trying out a few different options so don't worry, there will be some dark welt variants.

Here is another picture of the Loden Edward boot from this afternoon.
