Anyone know when the next pre-order is likely to go live? I hesitated too long on the storm kudu, I made myself wait a couple of days to make sure I wasn't making an impulse buy, but after just 2-3 days the pre-order was sold out and it was too late. So I will be sure to make impulse buys in the future!

After getting the dune CXL PTB and wrecking my heels for the nth time, I was determined never to repeat this process again. Then I wore them. Then I wore them some more. Then I had to order the dune CXL LWB (that I'm wearing right now). My right heel is now bandaged it's so rubbed up lol. Left is on its way. I was like, yup, this is finally it. But there's something about GS' outsoles, whether leather or "danite," once you get past the stiffness, they literally allow you to walk forever with zero muscle issues in your legs. They're the ultimate in support, even surpassing the double JR which I didn't think was even possible.

And now...the navy PTB might be calling my name. Do we know how long the current sale prices are in effect? Have to know how long I have to decide :)

I hesitated and ultimately have no regrets on that one. It's picture perfect for sure, but something like that, with light colored suede on a boot, I know I'd never take it off the shelf. If you wind up picking this one up post pics for sure, I'm sure they'll be stunning.

Just look at all the projects we are all getting done during this stay at home stuff...maybe learning a few new skills while we are at it...I'm on my deck and there are NO, ZERO, NADA people out in the neighborhood, it's kind of surreal. Normally there would be people out, kids playing, dogs barking, but today at 80° nothing. Guess everyone is inside painting cabinets or something :) View attachment 1367593
Just the opposite in my neighborhood: a few weeks ago, I'd never see anyone walking around outside (which seemed normal, since our subdivision - built in the 50s - has no sidewalks); now, there are people walking around out there all the time. It drives Harry nuts. And Harry drives me nuts. ;)

Same here as well. I wanted them, very badly, but I know I’d never consistently wear them. I’m sure they’ll be terrific

Finally, the kids across the street came out late afternoon, must be home schooling, about 10 minutes of that....people walking dogs, riding bikes, kids out. Just nothing during mid afternoon. Oh and people going by drives Nigel nuts, so I understand your issue with Harry :) I guess I forget that people working from home are probably actually working from home during the day......

Anyone have a solution for this? These saw what I would consider fairly light rain for 5 minutes two hours ago, but the left toe still looks like this. Everywhere else always looks dry after being out of the rain for 5 minutes. The left toe stays like this for hours every time. I’m not so much concerned about the appearance. More so whether this might lead to the leather being compromised, rotting, etc.

Yep; actually working from home here. The other thing is that there are more people walking their dogs out there than I've ever seen, and you know what that does to Harry (I'm guessing it's about the same thing it does to Nigel)... ;)

For sure, I wish he knew more words, but only has the one WOOF! By the way, Nigel is my avatar
