So comfortable for a full day of work. Snapped the leather laces, so switched to the stock flat waxed laces. As I only have one pair of laces, does anyone have any recommendations that'll pair well with the pebble grain cognac Ottawa boots?

My favorite "thick" flat waxed laces are the Wolverine 1000 Mile. They'd look great in those big eyelets.

Put the provided flat laces in these boots, I like them more than the leather laces.

I like both the leather and flat laces they provided with that makeup. Both match well.

@audog Those are fantastic! Thanks for the excellent photos. Personally, I prefer the leather laces because of they put off a more masculine vibe and offer great contrast.

Which is why GS includes both pair, everyone has a preference, and a choice. I never thought of laces as putting off a masculine/feminine vibe before.

Hello gents, just ordered the cognac pebble grain longwings. Any advice on belt to match? Specifically a thinner dress style belt. Thanks for considering!

I'm not sure about masculine vs feminine, but I do feel leather laces are a better match for the bulky eyelets on the Diesel and Ottawa. That's just me though. Both look great overall.

Not to say that the flat laces are feminine. ? Gender debates aside: they look more sneaker-like, especially with the wedge sole.

Congratulations! I have that one in my cart.... Just about my favorite boot from them. Let's all riot and demand that Grant Stone offer matching belts in all of their leathers. (I need one in tan calf and ivory suede each!)

Hadn't thought of that either, but with the flat laces and the wedge sole, they are more sneaker-like in appearance. Damn comfortable boots no matter which laces, or outward appearance.

I want the dune longwings, but I also don't want to end up owning 20-30 pairs of Grant Stones. I admittedly think about making use of this sale almost every day.

Haha, I am with you! As long as the sale persists I have to fight it every day. Looking forward to a package arrival this afternoon.

May I present, Dune with different lighting...
