Just a followup to Randy getting my order up and running in record-light speed.

I got word that UPS has received them in my local shipping center, they may even get delivered today, although "scheduled" for Monday. This REALLY raises the bar for getting footwear to me!!!! I have always received GS in good time (this being pair number 5 for me) but 2 DAYS WOW. Kind of makes the A**en, order it now and you may have it in August, and A**en Ed***ds, order and get in 2 weeks , shipping departments look old fashioned.

Now when are rubber sole boots going to be on the web site for me to order??????

So true - I placed my order the morning of Jan 2 and had my Ottawas in hand around noon on Jan 4. Blazing quick service!

All of my Grant Stone orders have shipped very quickly.

Whatever e-commerce engine they are using works well for notifications/tracking, too.

Being in Chicago, I've received my order the next day after my shipping notification.
Allen Edmonds Milkshake suede belt is not a bad pairing with my GS PTBs. Especially for 38 bucks...

Would love a pair of those, but alas, out of stock in my size. Had to go with AE Brooks for that look

Found a pair of those in GS seconds page, so ordered. Haven’t bought seconds/pre-worn from GS yet but have had very good luck with AE seconds over the years and reviews were favorable, so giving it a shot. Price was good and, with the Ottawa’s in transit, I would have 5 pair. My partial OCD wouldn’t stand for an odd number, so suede plain toes will make 6. Of course this creates the problem of what will happen once I order rubber sole boots once available, then I will have 7.

There are worse problems to have... Lol! I have 2 pairs of B-grades, the stone suede PTBs and some British Tan LWBs, both excellent. You won't be disappointed. I'm done for now at 3 with my cognac shell cordovan PTBs. I'm waiting to see what the next offering will be in shell cordovan.

Try "B grades" in the search window on their website.

I have a low volume foot and my best fitting pair is an Allen Edmonds Park ave in 9d. Could I get a way with the Leo last or would it be too voluminous? If so full size or half size down. Thanks

Wearing my Ottawa’s while doing some odds and ends errands. You’ll love them @audog!

What is your Brannock device size? I wear a 9D in AE PA’s but oddly a 9D in GS boots fit fine. A 9B might be a bit better in the boots, but I’m just fine with a 9D. I have one pair of Ottawa boots in 9.5 and they are not uncomfortable at all. I really like the Leo last as it fits a bit snug at the heel, but toe box is ample.
