More like making sure there gonna work with my instep (left foot is messed up from an old injury). Makes loafer fits tough for me. These seem good so far.
I understand, my left ankle is fubar, and right foot middle metatarsal has a break that didn't heal correctly 20 + years ago, so fit is king!

Hello, Just want to ask a quick question.

I had ordered venetian shoe balm for my Diesel CXL boots. This is the first time i have seen or used it.

The consistency look a bit off to me. Looks like there is a solid mass in the middle (like yogurt) and milk like liquid around it.

I have given a decent shake but it is not doing much.

Can someone tell me of this is normal or do i need to do something else ? Am i missing something ?

@GrantStone what's the status of the shell Ottawa order from a few months back? Is delivery still likely before end of the month?

Looks normal. As long as you shake the bottle well it should be fine. Mine looks about the same. Works great and much cheaper than Renovateur. Glad I swapped to it.

These plain toes look better every day.

Looking forward to the bourbon diesel next Tuesday. The black oxfords will be in too, but they will mostly be reserved for formal events. I’ll try to wear them at least once next week to break in a bit.

Wearing my bourbon Traveler's around the house again today, strap is still tight, hopefully after a couple wears it loosens up a bit. I've gotta say, I much prefer the darker edge these have vs the more natural edge my bourbon Ottowa's have.

You could use some brown shades of cream + wax polish on the edge if you really prefer the brown. Would recommend covering the upper around the welt if you wish to do that, of course. I've never tried a project like that personally, but I do something similar for touching up edges since I'm great at scuffing them up.

I did the welt and edges on a pair of Higgins Mills using just brown edge dressing and they turned out great. Giving it a little time to see if the natural grows on me.

That works too! Currently I only have clear and black edge dressing, but perhaps I should get a brown dressing and see how well it matches GS’s brown edges.
