Yup - I travel with them often, I just don't travel in them... ;)

I just take them off like the "old days". I've had to explain steel shanks to TSA guys before as well.

I don't like to use the word "shank" in the TSA line. ;)

I travel a lot. My MD chukkas are my go-to airport-day shoe, and my Ottawas are amazing for long days stomping around. The oxford cap toes are also super-versatile too (though I'm not wearing them in the rain).

I also pack my GS, the AE Eagle County boot is my "travel" footwear. TSA friendly, comfy and if the weather is lousy and rainy when landing, I don't care. If the TSA pre check metal detectors didn't go off with GS, I'd just wear Diesel boots.

My suede chukkas are fantastic in the rain, and stupid degrees of comfortable.

For me it would be my Ottawas, but agree.

Speaking of loafers... we made a sample of the new traveler penny in the ivory suede for look-see. It wouldn't be a best seller, but it does like nice and easy to wear. We would like to add this on to the penny program in the summer.

I'm so so on the Ivory. Would like to see suede in dark brown and snuff. And a Cognac Shell.

I like the Ivory, and agree it won't be a giant seller. I DO think, that dark brown, snuff WOULD be good sellers. and Cognac should be a regular part of the lineup in all footwear, it is a great color.

Snuff will be part of the line up in the first release. Agree on anything shell!

Yes they will. A crimson, dune, navy cxl and snuff suede will be available in both D & E for the initial release.
