Well, cap toe boot is a great addition, it's not a Suede Ottawa, but it is a great choice for a next step in the boot line. Oh, I'm in for a pair.

I think you guys just have an awesome product, and I'm a boot guy, and I like captoe boots. It was a natural.

Personally, I would prefer leather sole, but can live with the rubber if I have to.

Sure, it was a tough call but we decided to go with the rubber micro stud sole as we have seen nice results and feedback. We chose the dark brown micro stud rubber sole.

It's just us shoe forum, shoe nuts , who prefer leather. I'm pretty sure rubber sells better to the general public. Rubber will wear better, but here a lot of us have, how to say this- more than one pair of boots- and leather soles would last a LONG time with our rotation of footwear.

And on that note, a boot with the white crepe sole of the PTB would be kind of cool. I have a couple pair of Aldens with "comfort crepe" and one pair of AE, along with the GS PTB, with crepe sole, and it is comfy to walk in all day.

We can relate with your perspective on the leather vs. rubber. We are trying to keep that micro stud sole looking "sleek" or "low profile" to resemble a leather sole, somewhat. We have experimented with the crepe and as you said, it feels nice. The crepe is distant from the clean leather sole appeal, so we have shied away, so far.

For me, it’s not so much the bulk of the sole that makes a difference. It’s the beautiful natural/buff edges that are so gorgeous with your leather soled options, particularly on your dune and saddle veg tanned colored models. As someone who has often been disappointed with the edging on Allen Edmonds models, I very much appreciate your leather edges.

Agreed, as I am a big fan of their "antiqued" sole edge thats offered on the British Tan LWB and Cognac shell cordovan PTB.
