1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

    There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    I have to wonder whether his fame will kill his art. Will people rip off Bansky so they can get their graffiti up and not have it removed? Will the nature of the piece change for viewers, from vandalism to value?

    I'd be pretty steamed if my message was sticking it to the man and then the man started liking my work. It'd be completely marginalizing my legitimate message. We may be at the point where "it's by Banksy!" matters more than what it looks like...

    Read his book, "Wall and Piece". His take on aesthetics is fascinating. Plus it's got lots of his best pieces.

    I agree. I ordered this from Amazon right after seeing it in an UO in Vegas.
