While I can't really tell based on those photos, most likely the shoulder is too big and the armholes too large. Possibly the chest too, but the photos are too dark to see much. If you're really a size 34, you are somewhat out of luck as far as retail goes. I'd have to echo the others though and caution against spending a bunch of money on a suit, you will likely gain a size (or 3) over the next few years. Obviously your money though.

Those shoulders puff up when you raise your arms because suits aren't really made to look good with your arms raised. Dancers, who have their arms raised almost all of the time, have special suits made so they don't look ridiculous.

The only thing I can say is that it looks like you got the natural shoulder option. Without shoulder padding, only the cloth at the juncture of the collarbone and shoulder raises, where if you had shoulder padding, the whole shoulder would raise more uniformly.

With the greatest of respect to the OP, you have the whole of your post-college life to stand out, be different, and wear whatever you like.

You'll have more friends, more fun, more sex, and more happy memories from this part of your life if you make more of an effort to fit in (and not wear DB suits, or any suits at all for that matter). I'm not happy about that either, but it's the truth.

Let me reiterate my point in the beginning of the thread. You say that you are 5'11", and ~140lbs. In the next year, you WILL grow. Or at least you should really hope that you grow, and bank on doing so. Being a size 34 is not 'normal' for a person of your size, and you really should plan on your shoulders expanding.

Spending $1,000 on a suit that you will quickly outgrow does not seem like a wise investment. At least wait a little while, I promise. My parents bought me some suits for graduation from high school, and I outgrew them within a few months.

At the end of the day, however, this is your prerogative. But caveat emptor....

Also, what school are you going to? Congrats on the scholarships.

Gonna have to agree with this. The day I graduated high school I was 5'11", 142 lbs, and wore a 36R. Even if you are small-framed and remain skinny, you'll probably fill out at least a little bit. As a senior I'm still not very big (160) but wear a size 40.

If it were me I'd get a watch, or a couple pairs of great shoes, but I understand that you have your personal style and want whatever it is you want. Just my $.02.

Nick Cave is over 50, plays a certain genre of music, and has been for years. You are 18, a college freshman that absolutely no one knows.

You want to have his class and style once your senior management, partner or have your own practice more power to you.

Practically speaking, assuming you don't gain the freshman 15, this suit is not going to fit you beyond a year. Your measurements are drastically small.

Or, screw once you are senior management, partner, or own practice: you can dress however you want when you are a rock star.

let us make no assumptions regarding the OP's suit needs. we do know he has at least one suit already. perhaps he has many suits. he wants information on one specific suit. let us respond to his specific questions.

Q: where can I find a 34R DB linen suit OTR?
A: nowhere on this planet.

Q: where could I obtain a MTM DB linen suit to fit me?
A: Tom Ford might be a possible source. Perhaps Ralph Lauren.

Q: where in Atlanta can I find stores that carry those designers?
A: look in a phone book.

Q: will such a suit cost me more than $1000?
A: yes it will.

Now that's more like it. College, it's faaantastic.

Seriously, your college must be well posh to not look weird with a suit....

I wonder are you going to wear a DB to lectures?

If I have $1000, I will definately get a leather jacket, like this:
http://www.selectism.com/news/2010/1...ycle-jacket-4/

I have a red one, everyone loves it and it is compatible with anything.... BTW schott makes them in size 34, WIN WIN

But if you are so keen on a pair of suit, search for some japanese website, they should have your size, funky style as well......

I still think he should snort the majority of that money. You could have a serious party in your nose for $1000.

I'm two of those guys actually, sometimes three. OP should ask the 'rents if they'd pick up an ounce of blow instead of a double breasted linen suit.
