I doubt he charged those "clients" $1500 each. They're probably relatives or neighbors.

Yes, it's probably true that the images are not of paying clients. Genuine clients tend not to want their makeovers shown; those men look like husbands of a female consultant's clients or former co-workers from Mr. Marino's previous career. Also, the criticisms are hard to dispute. Even if the After pictures were good, the technique used is "throw a jacket on," when improving a subject's look without going to a particularly formal level often demonstrates more skill. (For example, sloppy tee shirt, jeans, and sneakers to button-front shirt with better jeans and proper footwear.)

And that image consultant is one of the few real male ones, with training from an accredited source. Which apparently he himself now is. The industry has problems.

Will all the vitriol lead to more appreciation of the services below? No, probably not
