Got a call from paypal

I was checking my voice msg and it said "This is Shelly from Paypal. Just wanted to thank you for your continued business with Paypal and Ebay. To thank you , we will be sending you a $50 gift check for your next purchase."

What do you guys think? This a scam? Has anyone got this before?

I'm more curious on why they went to phone first and not email.

Sounds legitimate... let us know if it turns up in the mail.

Since her voicemail was "Western Union-free" and she didn't ask for your address (because she already has it since she's ostensibly from PayPal) then my vote is that it was a real call... not a scam. But first I've heard of this.

Hell, wait to see if you get $50 added to your Paypal credit. If you do, then you'd have to assume it's legit. If you don't, who cares.
