I read on another forum:
This is actually a clause in quite a few web apps, like hotmail. IIRC it actually means that Google can take screenshots of using Chrome on your website for advertising and display purposes. I don't think Google wants to steal your intellectual property.
Chrome has an (optional) feedback service. They're saying if you give them data through that service they can do whatever the hell they want with it without paying you or giving you any credit.
As for the privacy issue, Matt Cutts explains everything that is sent to Google via the Chrome here. Given that the browser is open-source, I'm trusting that the Internet nerds will find anything questionable and write a patch for it. FYI, you can add search engines for the 'omnibox.' I'm sittin on chrome right now and so far enjoying it.

I like it, it is very fast, but I miss my toolbars and add-ons.

Going to give it go, since I can't get IE or Firefox to play flash videos at all since I installed XP SP3

One thing I noticed today... if you're using a Web Accelerator and Chrome, most YouTube vids won't play, you have to turn the WA off.

It also seems to have problems consistently displaying javascript images... I was surfing some clothing sites earlier and saw a lot of this.

Overall though I am really getting used to it and liking it. I actually like tab browsing in Chrome, which I can't say about other browsers.

I've been using it for a day, and like it quite a bit. Its internal architecture is also very smart. Hopefully they can pull this off and make a really polished product, because it's got a lot of potential.

I just started to use it today. I really like the homepage that shows all your most recent sites and the omni-bar. I haven't used it long enough to notice a difference in speed. I'm going to continue using it for now. I've been using IE since ie5 (never liked FF).

edit: first glitch. When i post on SF, I get a page not found after hitting submit. The post does actually submit, but it doesn't redisplay the thread afterwards.

Been using it for a while, seems to mesh nicely with SF so I will keep using it I suppose.

From experience I'd rank it: Safari, FF, Opera, and then IE.
I think I might try Chrome out after December. Is it still in beta?

Yes, its still in beta. I believe gmail is also still considered a beta. Either that or some tools are in beta.

The only reason I don't use Chrome all the time is because the "my posts" link is nowhere to be found on style forum.

I don't have a "my posts" button when using Chrome.

I also can't access posts from the front page of SF (get page not found when i click the link), and I've had problems on other boards as well. I think their support for php is still a little shoddy but I can deal with it, as I really like it otherwise.

The only thing I don't like is that I can't view exif data. It's become my default browser.
