My old wallet, after 10 years of hard service, is falling apart. I'm in the market for a decent leather wallet that will take lots of abuse, but still look tasteful. Any suggested brands?

I am on my second Tumi wallet, and the only reason I am is the first one was just a card case. It's still in great shape.

I don't know about the durability, but I've fallen in love with a Valextra breast wallet.

+1. Admittedly, I treat a wallet as not much more than storage, but the coach I've been using for four years suits me just fine.

I have an Etro wallet that I love. Not sure about durability as it either lives in my briefcase or coat pocket, and lives a relatively pampered life.

I have a few Bosca Old Leather series wallets that have lasted for years.

I use Valextra mostly for wallets, and they last longer than their minimalist construction implies. My Valextra breast pocket wallet is twelve+ years old and still looks brand new, but then it leads a sheltered life compared to a hip pocket wallet.

I'd steer clear of fabric wallets like some of the Gucci. Mine fell apart quickly.

My grandfather gave me a gucci fabric wallet, which he had for probily 15 years and its still in great condition.
