I personally like.... Dolcepunta, Domenico Vacca, Robert Talbott 7 Fold, Kiton, Borrelli, Brioni and Charvet. All of these Ties make an excellent knot for me.

It really depends on what your looking for. Sam Hober is good, Gucci and Versace are good but overpriced. I recommend thetiebar.com, if your on a budget. Brand is irrelevant when it comes to look and quality most of the time.

hi! what about the brands "Oliver Hunt" and "Bronzini"? I picked them up at the local goodwill, and they seem great, but I cant find any company history or original pricing levels on google! I know bronzini is an old company, from at least the 1930s..? help!

Hermes ties are very nice. Personally right now, Battisti and Tom Ford make me wish I was a richer man!

Robert Talbott 7 Fold are seriously underrated - bloody marvelous works of art! I could frame those suckers.

It depends on your body type. Charvet makes nice ties—classically 8 or 9cm. More contemporary ties go all the way down to 7cm (Drakes, Gucci, etc.) and sometimes ever skinnier.

I think Kiton make some amazing ties, as do other Italian makers. I don't see what all the fuss about drakes is, their widths don't flatter me very much as they're quite skinny.
