I've been checking out the clark taupe desert boot or desert kahn. the kahn is pretty much a low top desert boot. I figured the material is pretty light so it would be a good summer shoe for work. It would be mostly worn with jeans.

Anybody know of a good low top black shoe for the summer time? Not dress shoe, but something more in the lines of a low top boot, workwear type of shoe. Sort of like the low top Dr. Martens. I can't stand their stitching and soles though.

I too am looking for a good spring/summer shoe. I will be happily wearing my Quoddy boat shoes
again this year (braces for boat shoe backlash) but I'd also like an option thats a tad bit dressier.

So far I have my eye on these Alden suede unlined chukkas.

Anyone know of any similar options? I love Clarks dessert boots but I'm kind of tired of buying shoes that can't be re-soled. Seems wasteful.
