I brought mine few days ago, and I send them 2 emails regarding my choice of leather

As a biker I have always favored Vansons. Thicker leather offered protection.

Off the bike I have a Comet in regular leather and one like the one shown here in horsehide. It is still being broken in and it will last a lifetime.

I could never understand the 'butter soft' leathers. They would snag and rip if caught on anything.

If you want a leather, then get a leather. One that's thick and needs to be broken in. It will last a lifetime and only bet better every year.
