non iron shirts really save time in the morning.

But from my experience the non-iron comes at a steep cost of that extra chemical coating that makes the fabric shine and become less breathable, which is terrible in the summers.

thread count does not really mean that much at those price points. 80's 2ply using egyptian cotton woven in Italy or japan, will be better then the same 80's pinpoint using chinese or indian cotton. with cheaper finishing chemicals

I would second this. I have a few of their top line shirts and the fabric is not really the problem. The construction, including no single needle stitching, no or poor pattern matching, and collars that seem to have been fused with some form of cardboard, is the main problem.
