1. I'd like to announce that animated avatars are now available again. You'll have to reload, but they are once more possible.

    We've been doing a ton of work behind the scenes. The site load speed was already under 1/2 of what Huddler's was, on average, and we installed cloudflare, which means that the site should be even faster. A ton more will go on in the weeks and months to come, and some things will be more visibile, and some less.

    Cheers,

    Fok.

    Yup. I will call them and ask. Any recommendations? I think I have enough blue-ish shirts.

    Indeed! But mostly I say I was born there. See, I just said it right there.

    So the beard fixation is less of a Jewish thing and more from your roots as a purebred mountain man? ;)

    I splurge once a season. This fall, it's squares, just because there are just a number of unbelievably beautiful ones. Received three from Exquisite Trimmings (third one, the ET Keyte unicorn, worn two ways).

    I'm (probably) done with squares for a bit having accumulated enough from eBay at the beginning of my sartorial journey but a few Drake's in the end. But if I had to choose a few more, then these:

    Having worn the hober ties a few times I seriously feel like I can't go back to those shitty tmlewin discount ties I got, or even the Ede ones. I've been spoilt. I can't afford this clothes thing.

    I love large pattern squares, esp paisleys since they go with so many things. I have a blue one (that's too big sadly) and a yellow one and I feel like I could wear the two of those with everything...

    Great choices Tweedy- those wool/silk? Drakes make me [IMG]. w/s is IMO provides optimal pocket stability
    I def find that I keep going back to the same few squares over n over- could get away with 2 squares if i really had to.

    @Pliny

    Yes, w/s, 60/40 for the Drake's and 70/30 for the ET Keyte square. The Drake's must come from Keyte as well, but have more wool. The hand is a bit softer in the Drake's but they are all nice. The Drake's, as you probably know, are a bit gauzy with a very soft hand.

    Good to have some 100% silks too and most of mine are older squares I picked up from eBay which are large and thick enough to behave in the pocket.

    I don't have one with me, but IIRC they prob block or screen printed- I mean, they're not ink-jetted. I think that's true of Drake's printed ties too.

    I'd like to try Luxire's custom square arrangement- so many paintings I think'd make awsm squares Dali, Vermeer, Hockney, Freud, even Bacon

    I wasn't suggesting that it's inherently cosplay, just that *I* would feel like that.
