Thanks guize. Yep, it's shorter.
Not sure it really matters. I dont think Greg sells separates, and if the jacket in the 48R is right, you are much better off getting that and taking out the pants, than buying a 50 just to avoid taking the pants out and then ending up having to mess with the jacket. Pants alterations are a lot easier and safer than jacket alterations.
Yup. I know the jacket is 50R but I am not certain on the pants. I am hoping everything is the same with the exception of the waist.
See my NMWA post. The pants that typically come with a 50R are two sizes bigger (52) than what you have. That was Greg's first order and he had extra trousers and I was able to size down two sizes. You won't be able to do that unless you go MTO now.
I know a guy with a grey flannel that would go great with your complexion....hahahaha
Oh fudge. Did you see the PoW that Gmmcl is wearing today?!
But I cannot wear 52 pants. I am pondering.
I know it aint the best fitting pants below but if I get 52 pants, I am gonna have to do some major work on the pants. Doh!
How to pair these pents?
Black/white birdseye tweed that goes to a mid-ish grey in regular light.
Brown and navy.
Glad to know I wasn't totally off base today!
She seriously still thinks that that suit makes you look like an old man? I know it's because she's young and wants you to dress as young as she is (so perhaps when she says "you look like an old man" she means to say "you look like you were born in 1981") but still....Jesus...that's so much better on you than what you had been wearing.
Was it @TM79 that recommended French Cleaners for a suit press? Do you know anything not in back bay that you trust? I might ask my boss as well, but that place is pretty out of the way for me. Though I guess I'd definitely make the effort if it's worth it.
Anywhere on beacon hill you'd trust?
Can't believe she prefers the fit of the 38R Zegna suits.
Can't believe she thinks I look old in the Formosa suit. She said it looks retro or too old-fashioned.
Somebody tell me something changed when I went from 38R to 40R (1st pic)
I second the motion for French, Dartmouth St location (never used Tremont St). Been bringing them my stuff for years to be hand cleaned, they've never screwed anything up. Joseph, the owner, is a good guy and will go out of his way to accommodate you on a rush job.
