This thread will go on for as long as there are knowledgable members (Clag, IS, HF, Doc, etc.) willing to offer their advice. There will always be posters wanting the personalized attention this thread provides.

Rudals is (was) a horrible--though rapidly improving--shopper. The thread was started to help him pick out ties. Then a few people commented that they had also followed the advice being given. Then a few other folks asked for help. The MC General Chat I could do with less of, but others are having fun with it, so more power to them.

I guess this thread could keep WAYWRN free of improvement projects so to speak. Or at least, the constructive criticism and question which come along with those willing to learn.

Thanks for the succinct re-cap. I've seen Rudals posting before, though not in MC (I don't think). That alone left me at a bit of a loss, but I think you've given me an idea of the goal here.

The new title (changed to include "advice") was a solid step and was what led me to finally clicking. I'll lurk a bit and see if I can be of service. Though, as a staunch proponent of making dressing as easy as possible and reveling more in details and fit than quirks or complex combinations, I may be a bit too boringly fundamental and/or begin to sound like a broken record. Still, I'll hang out.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Stitch.

I acted on impulse but the fact that it seemed to get good reception seemed to convince me. I really like how it looks, the fit is 95% there but nothing a tailor won't be able to finalize. It was a stretch financially but with my tax return coming back I saw it as a little spring gift. Hopefully I'll get to wear it before winter leaves. It definitely was needed and hopefully is something I'll have for a very long time. I really like the way it looks and if it feels as good as spoo says then I'll love that aspect too. Like I said I have one Stafford Navy suit now that I got from JCpenney that, well, isn't nearly as nice.

^ noddles, too short. Is that a 38S? You need to get a size longer.

The jacket is too short and too small, Noodles. Where is the button point? It should be within an inch or two of your navel.

Also, try the Mila fit. Torino is too short and skinny.
