I really need to let go of this love for navy ties...until I buy a freaking grey suit.
I shall consider that brown tie (#3).

Burgundy will suit you better. But brown is OK too.

When you put that burgundy neat over your navy suit, your light blue or micro-stripe shirt and your neat plain white PS, and look in the mirror for the first time, it will be like seeing the clouds part for the first time. I promise.

You don't want me to describe my orgasm to you. And I don't want you to, either. Let's stick to ties, shall we? Lovely neat burgundy ties. Madders, challises, Macclesfields, foulards...all those lovely things. Pick one. You've a list of burgundy neats, mostly from Drake's, many at excellent prices. Now swallow hard (oh really, stop), take a deep breath, and order one. NOW.

Also, mimo, brown is the best color tie.

Brown is an excellent colour tie. But as Noodles likes his blues bold, I suspect he might find burgundy an especially pleasing revelation, even more so than brown. Anyway, I think we can agree unequivocally that he needs both.

Most certainly. And I agree that burgundy is a wonderful color with blue, as a matter fact I think I need more burgundy ties.

There's been 129 posts and a lot of darn good suggestions. It would be a big disappointment if all I got out of it was that one hunter green pindot tie. Now, I shall empty my engagement ring fund account like I've never done before!!![IMG]

Forgive me in advance but I'm paying some mind to this thread for my own purposes. [IMG] I need some tie help. I like that Panta tie!

Noodles calm down. Drop the Hober (maybe go back there for a burnt orange grenadine later; I like mine from Shibumi), probably the second Panta too, and the Vanda.

They're all nice enough, but what you're doing is diluting the really great ones that scare you with things that are closer to the old you: you don't need another spotty green tie, you just ordered one. You don't need two spotty burgundy ties to make you less frightened of that gorgeous Drake's neat. The Wu is the one you probably should have ordered instead of the green micro dot, and it's great, but maybe try one green tie first and see if you like it.

Start with just the two Drake's. Give the marriage a chance. :) And also, give yourself a chance to try your new green tie, a burgundy and a brown, all with patterns of different scales, and see what really works. Breathe.
