    Thanks. The no-no on the garment-dyed is practically a mantra over at NMWA, but it can't hurt to repeat it for the uninitiated.

    Re HK protests.

    It's unlikely to end in anything else than a wheeze. I'm neither optimistic about very positive change nor pessimistic about significant increase oppression and violence. They will simply starve out the steam; nobody will likely do anything rash.

    I was considering those, too, but light grey seems to be the default around here and perhaps the most versatile color for trous. I was thinking of something that might work with dark blue/navy too, so I guess the medium brown would be the way to go. I do think you're right the navy would look great, just not sure what else I'd wear it with.

    Light grey definitely more versatile overall. If you're just getting started on your trouser wardrobe, go for that one. But if you've got a few pairs of odd trousers and looking to add one specifically for that coat, I would consider the others.

    After all this talk if Birdseye I'm really looking to getting a suit made in this: http://www.dugdalebros.com/online-shop/royal-classic-bunch-130/9744/

    Btw is Birdseye generally a suiting material or does it depend? Feel like it's interesting enough for a patch pocket sc depending on weight of fabric.

    Also I feel like light gray definitely is less versatile for East Asian complexions but only slightly so. It's still a staple but I think darker grays are more core/versatile relatively. Like it'd look worse with light ties because the tie-suit and tie/shirt contrast would jarr compared to the hair-jacket contrast.

    ^ I've always considered that sort of pattern to be a suiting. I think that fabric will make a great suit too.

    @Isolation
    Grey is not the best color for Asians. You know what they all say about Asians and grey. (I am kidding, there is no saying). Anyhow, people give me such a hard time here when I say it. By the way, I had hoped democracy in HK but dont think that's gonna happen.

    Believe so.

    I want the suit supply brown suede dubmonks.

    Gawd, I wish I could write out everything I'd learned over the last year.
