Regarding jacket lenght, I'm 6'1 and the BOC measurement I look fo is somewhere between 31.5" or 32". According to a tailor my ideal BOC is 31" and it covers my butt completely.

    Some examples

    BOC 32"

    BOC 31.1"

BOC 30.7" according to SuitSupply but I measured 31".

BOC 31.5" (Ignore thedimples those are getting fixed)

    BOC 32"

    BOC 32"

And this was when I didn't knew how a suit should fit.

    This had BOC 29.5"

Somehow I likehow that jacket looks on you, AJL, but if you're not happy with it, everytime you look in a mirror you will not like how it looks and it will bother you.

Wow! That first one looks great, except the pink shirt. But the one I have has a different feel to it.

It's not pink, Noodles, if I'm not wrong it's a purple micro check. Could be the same as this one:

I think I said this the first time AJL posted these pictures, but the navy jacket with the open quarters that reaches nearly to his fingertips is fine for a suit, but too long for an odd jacket. I believe it's part of a suit, is that right? So, no problem.

    Nuts? Maybe. Confused? Definitely.

It looks great. Tidy up the sleeves and rock that bad boy.

I wear my suit jackets and odd jackets the same length. Regardless of what type of jacket it is, it needs to cover your ass and can be a bit longer. A suit jacket can be a bit longer because the length will not attract attention because of the lack of contrast between jacket and trouser (them being identical), but I don't think it has to be.

Also, Noodles, the idea that your Formosa looks retro is laughable. And stop trying to buy suits that are not solids. You will end up with a collection of non-versatile suits and have no staples if you keep this up. Suck it up and buy the boring stuff.

I just got my first pair of sneakers since high school. I know nothing about sneakers I can't even seem to find information about them except for clear click baits and ad-reviews.

Anyway I doubt I'd wear them much but I do think I should have some casual options, you know, look my age or something.

Also, I have concluded my experiment. It is still too hot to wear tweed.

The only Formosa I have in hand is the Draper's hopsack sport coat from the GMTO. Size 50. The Minnis houndstooth suit GMTO/preorder is 4 days away! I also joined the GMTO for the tobacco fresco suit. The LBM coat in 52 would fit over a size 50 Formosa but I think 54 would be better in the shoulders. It's cut slim and you have to take into account how much volume the shoulders of a suit take up.

I'd just like to say that Betelgeuse's fit photos remind me more and more of Vox.

Betel, you really have your fit nailed. Kudos.

Fudge, I guess I will stock up staple solid suits even though it kills me to pass up on PoW.

People compliment it because its a bold windowpane that stands out. 99% of real world compliments come just because someone notices something, which they equate to being nice.

Just get that PoW if you want it that badly and if it's a good deal. Plenty of time to get your staples.

Pink shirts with grey suits is a great combo. Just ask Pingson.
As for the look of your suit vs Spoo's Tom Ford (I believe), how about in comparison to mine?

I still dont think grey chalk stripe means oldmanish.

+1. If Noodles were to wear a bunch of suits in identical cuts, the bolder ones would get a lot more compliments. People aren't complimenting it for the cut (with an obvious exception for that Formosa).
