What do you guys think of these shoes? Seems like a weird design, but I picked them up for like 12 pounds + shipping for my partner, then saw another pair on ebay in my size for similar price.

I bought them at first because they were cheap, but actually I think they turn out to be pretty cool. I think it might be my most cost efficient buy ever.

I have a pair of wingtip monkstraps. They have a fair bit of shelf appeal (not to everybody, of course), but I worry sometimes they're a bit busy to work well in an outfit.

EDIT: And if Murlsquirl is in an environment where everybody wears suits, but he can't wear a PS without standing out, I'm willing to be he sees a lot of badly-worn loafers.

They just seems so adorably british country to me.

I think if you basically only use them in that context (linen, corduroy, moleskin trousers) they are perfect. I haven't got mine yet anyway I hope to try them in a fit soon.

Hi there!! Thanks for the mention.

    Answers to your questions:

    1. Pretty much. Not only most appropriate but look the best, in my opinion at least.
    2. Have you contacted me about this tie stain before? Someone else recently contacted me about a stain they got on their tie, it appears there's no real solution and I was unable to get that fabric back in order to have it remade.
    3. As @Henry Carter said, the silk is from Adamley. I buy my fabric from what they have in stock. The minimum for producing my own fabric, i.e. colours and designs is about 20 metres, that's not something I could handle at the moment. With regard to who makes them, they are made by a small company in Italy, based on feedback from my customers and from customers of other brands who use the same maker, it seems they do an outstanding job.
    4. Yes, ties are awesome!

    Hope that helps.

Can I get two middle fingers too? The only reason I wouldn't wear those wingtip monks is because they're not dubmonks. Ahh who's kidding. I'd wear them!

Wingtip dubmonks? You don't need the middle finger, but a damn good spanking!

Im the only one wearing suits on a regular basis. Not many loafers surprisingly....just a lot of rubber soled clunkers.

80s Paul Weller in loafers disproves all claims of loafers being lame:

Those loafers (with white socks!) are lame, but Paul Weller is cool enough to pull that off. Not for mere mortals, though (and not after 1985...)

Shrug. I wish I could wear loafers. They never work with my instep.
