    It's a navy pocket square on a cream base - I thought I might try cream for a change - it's a color I never wear.

Interesting, because I actually quite liked the pocket square.

I think the pocket square is excellent. If that's a suit, it's an excellent fit. If odd jacket/trou, I'd need to see the pants

The PS is silk? The color is not good.

    BAM!
"We are sorry to inform you that..."
I got the rejection email just 7 minutes after the interview.
    BAM!

Hmm. In the pic it looks like pale yellow/gold in a "wet" silk. If it's cream, then it may work better than I'm imagining.

Can we try a simple white linen or is that too simple for you?

We can indeed - here you go (full length too). I think the simply linen square looks better.

The arms are actually even - they don't appear to be in the photo because of my watch.

Not bad, but lose the shoes for some dark brown oxfords

This is hard core CBD, except the shoes. Brown shoes?
I might be in the minority but I don't like the vest in this instance.

An olive tie is not what I'd call hardcore CBD and the earthy tone of it lends itself to brown shoes. I asume the suit is dark grey not navy bit hard to tell on my monitor. I JF mentioned that he works for himself at home so black oxfords are really a bit much, though you could argue a 3 pce suit is too :)

Haha knew you'd all hate the boots :) they just arrived so I wanted to try them out. I am in the city having lunch today but I do work from home - I only dress for myself.

Suit is grey and tie is green woven with black (hober). Next time I'll do the brown shoes.

What would you pair the boots with? I its these:

Nice. But see how they hang a bit loose and rumpled? And the tell-tale fineness of the crease suggests that it probably won't last past the first wear. In flannel I like the Minnis worsted - has textural interest + wears well, hangs like steel, holds a crease and falls cleanly.

If only Luxire carried Minnis in lighter weghts.. be on them like white on rice.
I like belt loops for odd trews .. looks better when the jackets off around the office etc, but side adjusters for suits. FWIW Everything else is exactly my taste.

I have no beef with a gray SC, but that one's a very cool gray. I still the the PS is too vivid, which is the biggest problem with it.

People like the weirdest things. I think the only thing of mine that got into the 20+ thread involved tan balmorals, an odd jacket, a large-scale paisley tie, and cranberry-colored corduroys.

But I think one natural, relaxed full length (not such an easy photo to make, but practice helps) and one close-up would serve better a torso shot and an oddly cropped full length. That would probably be likely to get good feedback.

The boots are fine, jfrater, just not with that suit.

Sorry about the job rejection, Noodles.

Hi chaps, looking for a plain olive tie, sort of like what jfrater posted. Similar colour, but with either minimal or irregular texture - so grenadines are out. There was a nice twillish silk swatch which Vanda sent me a while back, but I assume they're out of the fabric as I can't find the tie on their website anymore. More silk than wool, 3.5 inches or wider. Any ideas?

Jfrat, that full length fit is your best yet. Agree that the shoes are wrong there, but the top block combo is on point.

Sorry bout the no go on teh job, Noodle man. : (

Soooo, both of the dang staple navy cloths from Edios are out of stock. Back to the drawing board.
