    A WHAT?

    My plastic tub of socks suddenly seems very slovenly. Anyway, I always thought those things were for pocket squares.

    Let out the odors?
    Unwrinkle?
    I am a bit baffled.

    Yeah I got an extra PS hanger from Kent Wang because they sent me a defective one, so I am using it for socks. It's just more convenient, that way I can reach for the right sock/combo as I'm picking my shoes.

    I mean what else am I going to do with the hanger? =P

    @Cleav
    Obviously, metal buttons--see picture below of my bad boys. Also, dark brown horn buttons come to mind, for a more continental look.

    How much are those buttons though? Might get them for a brown blazer.

    @Cleav what's the fabric? Seasonality makes a difference. Brass/gilt buttons or horn are the norm for winter blazers, but I've always liked silver or MOP for summer fabrics.

    Can I get platinum buttons to go with my Formosa suits? Wonder if there is a market for that...

    To save the click-throughs and because $75k of shoes is always worth a look-see

    @Isolation I actually got them custom made in HK earlier in the year while I was visiting on a sartorial sojourn. The custom jeweller I used was next door to my hotel -- Hyatt TST -- on Kowloon side. Give me some time to dig out the details and prices, which I will PM to you. The HK custom jeweller -- Tony Chan -- had lousy customer service skills however, his product is good.

    HINT: silver prices are at a "major interim low" now, so it's an excellent time to get custom silver buttons made. Be sure to get any custom silver buttons "rhodium plated" though, otherwise they will tarnish. Obviously, unlike gold which doesn't tarnish.

    EDIT: Updated picture of my current blazers with custom precious metal buttons, including a new RAF blue blazer with .925 silver buttons. I'm in the process of replacing the spare (i.e. sewn on the inside) gold-toned alloy buttons on the black blazer with 18K gold ones. See sample 18K buttons pictured below. Buttons are all laser etched with metal purity and my initials on the reverse side. Basically, wearable money for these uncertain times.
