3 Sam Hober ties have arrived. Me happy.
What did you get? Pix of Sam Hober ties?
Glad you made it out of HK before the demonstrations.
Haha, I actually kind of want to be part of it, but it certainly would have been inconvenient for my tailors all located in Central.
It's probably one of the most peaceful protests of its scale in history.
Side note: I got in the shirts I ordered. Re: Dress shirt fit. They should go to the spot between your thumb and forefinger right? I was a little surprised that there were some 'ruffles' on the arm, but they're not super fitted so I guess this is normal. Best thing is that they don't ride up wearing a jacket. WIN!
I guess I know what size I am now.... Oy.
I'm having a dilemna over whether I should store my shoes in the shoebags or in the open on my shoerack. Posted in the shoecare thread and someone said it did make a difference but it's such a pain and looks ugly.
Hmm I never thought of using a pale pink shirt for this suit. I have 1 pale pink shirt, but the collar isn't as spread as I like when wearing a jacket. I usually wear it with just a tie, sans coat, and the point collars don't look as bad. Nonetheless, when I get home this evening I will give a few combos a shot and report back with pictures for more advice. Thanks guys.
Don't bother. The idea that enough dust could really accumulate between wearings to draw moisture out of the leather or hurt the finish is just ridiculous.
I'd honestly be more worried about them fading unevenly if they're stored in a sunlit room.
My Hallams have shoe trees and in shoebags. I polished them nicely before they went in the bags.
I really doubt that it makes that big of a different.
That's fair. I guess worry about that if your shoes receive ample sunlight? Or aren't shaded by shoe racks? Mine stay in a closet, which does have a window, weirdly, but I keep it covered.
This guy doesnt appear concerned
Would post the image, but image uploading appears broken for me right now.
I was waiting for someone to post that one.
