Fun is great. Everyone should enjoy what the buy.

Also, most people who put fun at the forefront look like crap more often than not. Looking really good is also fun.

I'll give you $15 for them. Then we can talk royalties as I purchase items.

Kopped a mid blue La Spalla at SS's Shanghai store on Monday evening. Minor alterations in progress. Should be able to post a fit pic tomorrow, insh'Allah.

This purchase was directly influenced by SF and more specifically, by this thread. I have very few plain suits in my wardrobe. This suit will fill a gap. Expect some tastefully soporific, quasi-Italian-CEO fits dialled in from this little black duck in the near future.

They aren't roped. Same construction (spalla cadente morbida) as these here:

Noodles suit hasn't been worn but once and they haven't settled or broken in...whatever you want to call it. They won't look like they do in his pic for long.

I'm not suggesting that fun is the only consideration, but that if it isn't one at all, if it's all about knowledge and discipline, then you should probably think about doing something different with your life - and there's nothing worse than 'fun shirts', 'fun socks' or anything designated as 'fun'.

You're just scraping the barrel and being pedantic now lol.

I'm guessing that most of us aren't walking around in a clown costume.

Fun means different things to different people. I love organizing stuff, so having a well organized wardrobe is fun for me. I used to have lots of 'fun' pieces, but I hardly ever wore them.

I had this awesome silk/linen red suitsupply jacket, not unlike RTC's one, except that it was a nicer colour, a nicer cut and it fit better. I won my one and only Friday challenge with that one.

I had it for a year and a half, and I've worn it exactly 3 times. Sold it at a small loss a while ago, along with most of my other fun pieces, in order to start over with a clean slate so to stay.

Crazy jackets have their place in a wardrobe, but only in one that's well rounded already. I might buy some in a couple of years from now, but for now I'm staying away from anything that's 'fun'.

Breaking in my new Islays today. A little bit surprised by how voluminous the 365 last is. It's even more volume than Carmina's Rain and Inca lasts.

My only prior experience with C&J was trying on the 240 and 325 lasts at Brooks Brothers and Ralph Lauren, both of which were too narrow for me. Based on this experience and the fact I go true to size for Carmina's wider lasts, I went true to size for these. The width and length is pretty close, but the volume leaves me thinking I could have sized down a half size or will need to wear thick socks.

    Them Islays look darn good.
Speaking of, do most of you wear thicker socks in the winter? If so, which material(s)?

So yesterday, I left work early (at 530) and arrived at Field Tailors 10 minutes after they closed. I was bummed out and also stuck in traffic for 2 hours. I will retry on Saturday.
