I've spent more money on ties than anything else (outside of maybe food and booze) in the last two weeks!

I could probably get my money back by selling the two ben silver's if I decided I didn't want them any more. They sell for 95 new.

I think this is probably the end of kopgate, though I did pick up an amazing pair of brown chelseas in my size from an awesome dood on SF.

In the last two years, my expenses, sans rent, in order of expenditure, are probably:
    Food
    Jackets
    Ties
    Travel
    Shoes
    Trousers
    Books
    Electronics
    Entertainment

Doesn't that pretty much cover everything? Anyway, that's the danger of styleforum. Right when you think you're done with buying stuff for a while you see something else that you want to have. In essence, it's a perpetual mechanism of consumerism.

Some can detach wanting to have something from simply appreciating it, but it's mighty hard. SF is almost synonymous with buying. There's a reason why affiliate threads are some of the most active around.

I'm not saying it's inherently wrong, but it's good to take a step back once in a while. I've been trying to do that a lot lately, and it does work. Haven't bought a tie in over 3 months, and that's the longest since I've discovered SF.

    I'd kop those.

Whoa, I've been married longer than Noodles. I think I'm one of the youngest members who post quite regularly on CM too, but I could be wrong.

I'm guessing Iso is 24-25. RTC is pretty young, too. Aranthor doesn't look too old either.

I'm trying to think about which members are under 30. Myself, Iso, RTC, Aranthor perhaps...YRR...and I'm sure there are others, just they don't post regularly on WAYWRN.

That's a good guess. Somehow people I meet are really bad at guessing my age. I hope to post more on WAYWRN with me new stuff but I've been entangled in a bunch of stuff.

    I am...um...32 or 33. I stopped counting when I turned 30.

    Thank goodness I am Asian.

    (I'm 25, turn 26 in march)

I keep my 'clothing' money separate from other stuff. I put away a bunch of money I got from a tax return earlier in the year and have still been getting things from that and add a little bit here or there. I could probably have paid for a bunch of leisure stuff and even a vacation if I had neglected to get most of the stuff I had, but I've enjoyed the learning experience.

The only bad thing is that my swd/casual stuff is relatively lacking, but I like to do the dressier side of casual anyway and I have a few slouchy things. I like the utility of owning more clothes that I can wear out casually and to work. I like the SC/jeans combo and such.

Why own one nice thing when you can own lots of nice things?
