I like it, jrd.
It reminds me of the Blackwatch regimental. But it's sufficiently different from the Blackwatch tie so that you wouldn't step on the toes of ex-military guys in London. @Cleav @IchDien
-Made from grenadine weave silk, not twill silk
-Brown in place of burgundy
-Direction of the stripes
-Scale of the stripes
The other advantage is that the colors are more muted, which I think is a nice thing. I'm not sure how it will resolve from a distance...one might get a sense of the colors but need to come in for a closer look, and then, the colors resolve more clearly?
There's a lot of win in the Berg and Berg collection. Thanks Steffenbp for putting this on the radar.
Just looking at the http://www.bensonandclegg.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=609 website
jrd - I like it.
Huh? It's a DB...
I believe sugs is referring to this jacket, worn by rtc (and I agree with his assessment):
@Cleav I think the Benson+Clegg and Ben Silver ties vary a little in scale, but they're basically the same design
Yeah, pretty much mate. Looks great.
So I've had two pairs of RRL officer pants sitting in my closet for the longest time. One in the selvedge chino and one in the jaspe covert wool.
They fit weird though.
Stitchy are people in SWD still crazy for the RRL officer chinos? @NAMOR ?
Hahah, he told me what he was wearing and I told him that he wouldn't be able to miss me if he tried.
"Omg, you're wearing the red jacket aren't you", was his reply.
I have a brown and navy one as well as I'd mentioned. I think I'm going to keep them as is till my weight gain settles down a bit, but I think some waist suppression would help 'wing' the jacket at the button, no?
It could. Not the ideal way to get that, but it might work out.
I think it could use some waist suppression in general though.
Although, I paid 8 bucks for that jacket so I honestly have no complaints!
