There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Yes, it was a very general statement.

Stockholm was one of my favorite cities to visit while I was living over there! Besides the outrageous cost of alcohol, it has a lot going for it.

The real insult here is not querying the cost of your suit; it's the phrase "just an accountant".

I think that is hugely insulting. No response is required. You just cross that person off your list of people you can be bothered with.

I also hate it when people say "just a teacher". Teachers themselves seem so used to this that they often introduce themselves as "just a teacher".

It doesn't matter what work you do, as long as you do it to the best of your ability and take pride in what you do.

    So true.
I have never met an European in person so I cannot speak of them. (J/K).
But the Americans (whites) spend less money on clothes, and even on cars, and spend tons on their houses and what goes inside it. You see so many white Americans dressed poOrly in an average car living in very nice houses. I actually respect this way of life. What lasts longer? Those who spend majority of their money on clothes and cars while living in a dump seem superficial. I am just making a very general stmt.

How much should a think tank accountant spend on a suit? I'm genuinely curious about his views on this subject.

His views are irrelevant. As mentioned before, he is a 30+ year old man who lives at home.

No. He is not evolving. He had a job but went back to school when he couldn't find a job.

No two accountant are the same @Mr. Six. I am probably a mid-level mgmt accountant. I don't do debits and credits journal entries anymore. I work closely with upper mgmt and the boards with a director somewhere in my job title. On the other hand, there are "accountants" who never bothered to go all the way by getting their CPA licenses. That has a significant impact on their careers. That "Just an accountant" comment really doesn't bother me because I know I have my $hit together.

I dunno. I usually try being friends with people that aren't idiotic dicks, but YMMV.

I do not think I can say he's a friend. I said friend in the OP in place of someone or an acquaintance. I mean who wants to be friends who constantly compares himself and disses me to make him feel better? He always asks me how much I make. Thats just bad manners and I will never answer that question.

He's just upset he doesn't have his life set up. The same often happens to me but on a lower level. I've met some one-uppers before and I love making fun o them for it.

Best I heard was not even directed at me. A guy I know flies a G5. Some friend of a friend showed up at the volleyball tournament we were at and said, "Oh. That's shitty. I fly a G6." Something to that effect. The guy I know responded with some technical questions on the G6, knowing that the G6 was in no way available to the guy. The guy ended up shoving him and trying to throw a punch because he didn't know how to answer the questions. The person I knew took the high road. Just said, "I'm sure you have a great time in the G6, I was just making a playful joke. Have a good time."

I'm no making an example of you in a negative way, but this is a big big big point right here for people that try hard to compare wardrobes between users.

Finances are hugely different between people at times and I know this has been talked about re:vox in the past, but I think it's something that needs to be restated.

Me no care. I've got the life I worked for. My dad is the CPA and I had enough exposure to that that I knew it's not what I wanted. I am the designer/PM and sports player. Good for me :)

In a similar vain, last week I had a long trip back from the US to Africa via Europe. It made for some good people watching. One thing seemed to stand out to me--Americans in general seemed to be the worst dressed. Do you guys think so as well? If so why? Americans are just so sloppy.

Living in Africa I know people don't have as much but they do wear what they have very nicely.
