^ Well, it seems only fair that you can use the money saved from buying alcohol to shop for clothes...

Yea, the major difference between Baltimore and most other big cities is that the bad areas are mixed in with the livable ones.

so much hate on b-more makes me sad. sad because I can't defend my home city - that was a fairly accurate description. suburbs are nice at least.

When I first moved to Boston I was in a dog park (with my dog) and talking with another guy. I told him I just moved up from Baltimore. He said he recently graduated from the police academy and at a recruiting event (where all the cities try to recruit you) the guy from Baltimore's pitch was "we were just under 300 murders for the first time in many years." The guy starts laughing and said Boston was an easy choice considering they only have around 80 murders a year.

I don't live in Boston, but my sister does. For a first time Boston visitor, I recommend a lobster roll from James Hook, a cannoli from Modern Pastry, and dumplings/hot noodle soup from any one of many restaurants in Chinatown.

Yes!!! Modern is the cannoli to go for - Mikes is famous but it's crap. And Cafe Vittorio is ok but Cafe Paradiso is loads better. And the Vitello tonnato sandwich at Neptune on Salem street is perfect. I lived in the North End for years and miss the neighborhood, and the city, all the time.

Im not really a beer guy, but I enjoy Sierra Nevada Pale Ale quite a bit.

I go visit those guys every year. I could go on and on about how impressive those guys are. My buddy owns a brewery and I tag along on trips a lot. I'm helping out today....that's where the picture came from.

It is a very good beer. It is not the best IPA. Actually, a local (to me) breweries IPA won gold at the GABF...Tap It Brewing Co.

Solid beer but really depends on your tastes. There are a lot of different styles of IPAs to make life interesting.

Agreed, there is definitely an IPA for everyone....and every other style of beer for that matter.
