AS without a doubt. They're on par with EG. (I know, there's no such thing as quality, but let's not start that discussion again)

Those look fantastic. Thanks goodness - for the sake of my wallet and conscience (would have felt stupid for buying G&Gs) - that these are out if stock in UK 8.5.

Thanks to noodles and others for pointing me to this thread, I'm not too sure how it works. Do I just post my newbie questions here?

You must read the whole thread from start to finish. :slayer: except the part about what kind of underwear...that was weird. Admittedly due to my appreciation of thongs.

To be clear, I love cotton trousers. Chinos, khakis, moleskins.... I just mean that I do not love them with wool type dressy SCs. I think they require more rumply fabric SCs, like cotton/linen, or even that distressed Boglioli wool.

The exception being more luxe cotton pants that essentially are dress pants. And on that note, I have to say that those duck canvas trousers all look great with those SCs.

I really need to get on the Luxire boat.

This is what I like about SF: some people (we have a series of 5 photos now I think) show that it is possible to do something well, something not usually considered optimal (cotton on bottom, wool SC on top). That opens up avenues and possibilities. But it does have to be the right cotton trouser; thick to hold its shape.

Some day, when HY finally craps out (which I hope is never, but I worry), I will have to get all those HY pants replicated. The cut is, for OTR, perfect for me.

Haha I just might I think if probably learn a bunch, but I'm at work now.

I'll summarise my current quandary. I dress in menswear by choice, I do not do it in a conservative environment. I dress as a statement unlike most posters here, but I want to do it in a stylish and traditionally acceptable way as well, so I'm looking at the more "fashionable" spectrum of things that's still classic and "sf approved" so to speak. Guess it's simply to explain I play poker for a living and that's the kind of environment I'm in.

I saw a picture of a grey glen plaid peak lapel SB 2btn suit and really liked it, and wanted to get something like that. It's a bit showy but not horribly so, what do you think?

I also want to get slightly hacking pockets, I feel like it looks good visually and works with my build. Potentially I want ticket pockets too. I understand some people think hacking ticket pockets would conflict with a city and especially peak lapel suit. Thoughts?

On related note, are hacking pockets done on db jackets?

    Thanks!
