A very good suggestion... But I don't have a three piece suit and even if I did, it wouldn't get much use here in Indonesia ;)

You have more than one yellow tie?!? Let's see them! :)

I think it may be helpful to reference the Friday Challenge that they did with yrllow ties. They all looked atrocious to me though.

Thanks, now I remember! But like you, I don't think there were any fits that I liked. Still, I'll check it out.

    This.

For strongly patterned ties (paisleys, large scaled ginghams etc.) or colors, minimizing its exposure is the way to make it work, if it will work. I agree with the suggestions of a navy coat, but you could also try a sweater vest, e.g. mid gray but not too dark. The tie then serves to give the outfit a bit of pop.

That's 4 votes in favour of the shearling bomber jacket, and 5 against.

"Condor wingspan collar looks very dated" kinda hurtz.

Still haven't kopped. Maybe I might pass this time.

Elio, I think the criticism of the tie is a bit overstated. It's not SF-approved, but that doesn't make it bad.

The tie’s also shiny, at least on my screen, so I’d wear it after dark with a charcoal or midnight blue suit (preferably three-piece) and a white shirt.

In my world that’s a going-out-to-dinner-at-a-dimly-lit-French-restaurant tie (to use the technical term …). [IMG]

Yes, when SF disapproves of something it does so hyperbolically. The echo chamber is also an amplifier.

I like that... and if the lights are dimmed enough and the wine flows abundantly, perhaps I can get away with that tie ;)
