    If, then with your negativeness. Or is it negativity? Or both?

    Lol. j/k, of course.

    SF is just slower in the summer in general, not just this thread.

    If the Formosa doesnt turn out well...there will be hundreds of picnic attack posts.

    True. Waywrn just dies in the summers I guess BUT the quality has shot up imo

    lololol

    i dont know. i think that WAYWRN is a pretty static place. there are always good fits, poor fits, n00b fits, and in between fits. there are always weeks or months when the stars align and we get a ton of good fits together, and then we have black hole periods where its just abysmal for weeks on end. t would be nice if the quality shot up, but im not sure that is the case. and im not even sure that is a bad thing.

    my 2 cents.

    I don't know if I agree that the quality shoots up, but it does slow down. A lot less people are wearing jacket and tie in the summer.

    So I've been experimenting this week with non-matching belts and shoes. I've never been of the school of thought that belt and shoes must match perfectly - in fact I don't think a perfect match is possible because even if you buy the belt from the same place as the shoes (so presumably they're the same leather) the shoes will patina differently - but I've always worn belts that are more or less the same shade. This week was different.

    Monday was a British racing green belt and black shoes with a charcoal suit, Tuesday was the same but with a dark grey suit. IMHO both were great - the BRG is dark enough that it doesn't stand out but there was just a bit of subtle contrast for anyone who noticed (I was probably the only one). Today I'm wearing an Oxford tan belt (color pic below from Equus) with dark brown shoes (C&J). There's a bit more of a contrast which I suppose is fine with a casual fit but I admit I'm a bit less pleased.

    Anybody else play around with non-matching belt/shoe combos?

    regarding belts, i try to keep mine close. sometimes ill do different shades of brown in the shoes and belt if i think its a nice and complimentary match. its not really something i think about a lot tbh.

    i think i have 6 belts. 4 brown, 1 black, 1 suede, and that pretty much covers me.

    i will say, that if you wearing blue or green or gray, or some other non standard color belt or shoes, a contrasting color is probably better than an overload of matchy matchy in your face color. imo.

    Yes, it's a 50. I just checked the tracking (I sold it to him) and it was delivered to his office this morning. I think he may still be in NYC though.

    Looking for some advice. I was browsing the Robb Report today and saw a Kiton ad with the most perfectly dimpled tie ever. It must be some mystic fabric turned into a tie by a Neopolitan virgin under a silvery moonlight. Anyone bumped into that tie while shopping / thrifting? Or happen to know that model?

    @spoopoker and other scavengers.

    Here's a shitty pic of the ad: the tie is on the upper left corner.
