Well, you already have a paisley. If I had one square this season, it would be this one

A close second would be this

I just noticed that ET has dropped the prices of their Drake's PS to 30 quid.

Know you're murrican Murl, nothing wrong with being English though. Beard? Haircut? Scrawny, nah. You're better looking by far!

That is nice, and so is the one you got.

@mrjester , where did you buy a cream line square?

    Panta.

Is it frowned upon? I kind of like it.

Me too. I have to say not especially in this fit, although I don't dislike it. I'm recalling ages ago a grey PoW suit worn by someone with a French blue shirt and white PS, where cream would have been just that touch warmer and rising out from the grey check while still retaining the simple formality. I think the cream linen is an interesting variation and I want one. Thanks for the tip!

mrjester, that tie would look great with a cream linen suit.

Whoever was asking about a white shirt with cream trousers, that's fine, just keep the whole look low-contrast.

Thanks for the heads up! I just bought 10 pairs of OTC socks, the one thing my wardrobe was lacking. It's very tempting to pick up a tie and square too though.

Here are some nice ones, I think (it's worth pointing out that if you've always wanted 9cm Drake's, this is one of the few places they seem to be available)

Edit: One thing to say about Drake's. They hand roll their edges beautifully and all the way up the length of the tie as opposed to just at the tips.

nothing wrong with that. its certainly not bad, just very muted.
navt ground squares can be hard if you wear a lot of navy suits/jackets, imo. i think squares work best with colors that you would not choose for a jacket or tie. otherwise it all blends together. my 2 cents.
    no.
