I dislike watches. Seriously. They do nothing for me. I dislike the way the feel on my wrists. I have several Movados, very light. I never wear them. I mean. Nobody sees them.
Edit: I don't dislike watches. I dislike wearing watches.
Don't care for watches or knit ties.
Just let estitchy read this.
I love watches, the thinking behind mechanical watches amazes me. That last part, around here a watch could be the reason thieves might get at you, so around here, yeap they notice. Sometimes when I drive I take off my watch and put on chep one so it don't pick attention.
I love watches...but I agree with Clag to some degree. What's the point of shelling out $10k plus on a watch only to pull out your phone to check the time (I do that). My big fat watch gets in the way so I usually take them off when I get to work. My is just a poor man's Tag Heuer Link and not a $10k watch. I think it's a waste of money but I dare not say it in the watch porn thread.
I can get into watches like this.
Let's get your ties in order before you get into watches, Junglro!
I have an Omega from my grandfather, three Movado museum watches. I love the Movado's for their elegance, the Omega for its sentimental value. And that's pretty much it. I'll wear the Movado's occasionally, but I dislike the way they feel with my shirt sleeves.
lol. I own 3 watches and don't plan on owning more. I have a brown and black dress and a brown casual. I'm good. Although I may have started a hat addiction over the weekend.
Fuark! I used to think that a 2k watch was way too much, then I started reading about watches and then I fell in love with the thinking process to achieve a timepiece now people don't understand me when I talk about watches and now a Jaeger LeCoultre Spherotourbillon of $234,000 seams understandable.
Back to ties, jrd, that is one very cool tie you just got! Love it!
Whoops. I underestimated how many ties fit on each bar of my tie rack. Looks like the number (inclusive of bows) is 80.
Please get any and all watch hate the fuck out of this thread before I hit someone.
Rudals, way to support full retail, the economy thanks you.
Jungleroller should be renamed Jungalo
Watches are beautiful. Just not my thing, thankfully.
Stitchy, do you normally wear yours under your shirt sleeve (in which case, how do you check it?) or just allow your shirt sleeve to get caught on it?
I need a dress watch.
If you don't like that one, dear Rudals, you can ship it to Messico.
