Thought I recognized the name....!
Oh helz no, Clag! This project (me) is far from over from being complete. Just because I ordered 3 new ties doesnt mean your mission is accomplished. We need to work on patternes shirts. We also need to work on extravagant pocket squares. And then we need to tackle the floral ties!
But it wud be nice to have a new soul to save other than me. I just dont see one out there who wud be willing to listen.
But thx to all of you.
...who I forget?
Nah, I know there are a few silent souls in here who came for this thread for solace and guidance.
But now they should stand and testify
Brother Claghorn, I will say that I came here suffering from a similar affliction to brother Noodles: a penchant for pairing navy suits with navy ties. After joining this congregation I believe I am beginning to see the light. What I was attracted to in a tie was not necessarily what worked best with my fits. I feel I am on the road to redemption, and even purchased the brown neat I posted a few pages back. Hallelujah!
BROTHER AJL, thank you very much for your spirit-filled testimonial. We are all inspired and encouraged by your transformation! Let the spirit of SF fill you up and dont let the devil (Esquire, GQ, ETC) get even near to your wardrobe!
Can I get an AMEN here?!
Can I get an amen?
*Cue organ music*
AMEN BROTHER! HALLELUJAH!!
THE NOODLE TIE THREAD SAVES!!!
MAY THIS THREAD SET YOU ON PATH OF SARTORIAL RIGHTEOUNESS!!!
This thread gave me crabs.
I'm up for the help. I'll post my current tie inventory in a few minutes. I've already got a box thats either going to donation or to the top shelf of my closet for later days or just get rid of, not sure yet.
Come on up and testify brother!!! Oh lawd, help this brother to find the path to sartorial righteouness!!!
I was hoping brother @jungleroller would step up and share his spiritual style weaknesses!
I didn't like any of brother Jungleroller's ties but I did not say it for I did not want another soul going astray!
I have a testimonial!
The Devil led me to Saks Fifth Avenue last night after work. I went there with my heart full of greed. I had in my hand, a $200 gift card from the Devil's messenger! So I went looking for a tie! I was tempted by all the navy blue ties that looked beautiful. I touched them and I looked at them with lust! But I remembered the teaching from the book of Noodles and I was able to overcome all the abominable ties that they had! They were shiny and bright. But I overcame it. I thank Brother Crabs...I mean Clags for showing me the way! I walked out of there in peace and with no bright and shiny tie in my hand. I overcame the temptation!
Can I get an A.M.E.N up in here?!
A MEN, NOODLES
I just took a gander at SFA's ties. Some truly atrocious stuff up there selling for $150+. Tacky shiny satin stuff. You could almost get two Hobers for that price
Heres some, the colors aren't exact so if theres one in question let me know. IE: 2nd from left is brown with blue dots. The lighting has "yellowed" most of the pics, hopefully not too bad.
