    how do you differentiate between "vintage" and whatever other dreck he's done? The man's only saving grace is he has a bulldog.

    There was a brief period in middle school when I thought Sandler was the shit. I matured and realized I was a little too liberal with my article use when describing him.

    He produced one great masterpiece, which was The Hypnotist. Other than that, he's been very well compensated for making pretty crappy movies.

    his early stuff, particularly his CDs, were hilarious.

    happy gilmore and billy madison are classics. and enough of his movies, tho dumb, get a few good laughs out of me. what can i say, im 5 years old.

    also, he has said that he himself is amazed at how much money he makes for not being particularly funny, talented or good looking. you gotta admit, its a good gig. if you had it youd take advantage.

    I was at my sister's house last xmas ( bad joo/ married a goy, etc), it was late and my broth-in-law put in a dvd he'd received as a gift, presumably from his immature goofball son. The movie was "That's My Boy", written, directed, etc. by AS, and remarkably I sat through the whole thing. I think because it was so stunningly devoid of acting, writing, humor and basically a pulse; it was like watching a 1 1/2 hr trainwreck unfold before you, and apparently I just couldn't walk away. I even watched the outtakes, which were less funny than the main feature, no mean feat. I felt bad for the actors who looked like they just wanted to finish up and go home.

    If you want some funny (immature though) Adam Sandler look up the song he sang I think from his old sat night live days (or possibly stand up) called "Medium pace". Definitely not safe for work, but pretty funny.

    Still a sucker for Billy Madison though myself.
