How right is that? Stitchy :slayer:

Two approaches old fruit here (A) Foot down, "NO"! (B) "Listen my love, there are far worse things that I could be doing other than liaising with friends about the merits of presenting myself in the best light for you and anyone else I love dearly"!

    Well, fair enough, I suppose...

^ A ha, take your own advice ^ :rotflmao:

She's feeding me as I am typing this. In reality, she just wants me to limit my time spent here.

Shoot, it's not like I gamble, do drugs, get wasted, or play computer games all night long.

It's SF, work, home, SF, work, home...for me.

Seems reasonable. I'm on here during the work day sporadically and barely at all outside of that - I'll check Spoo's thread for flash sales at night and that's it for me if there's nothing happening.

That was my suspicion, that it was less about SF and more about how much time you spend on your computer/phone when you get home from work. Sounds like a fair request that warrants further discussion in the Noodles household.

Thank you for this insightful post, Stitchy. I feel that I have learned a lot from posting, and from the SF tough love that I've received. I'm grateful that I can learn from those more knowledgeable than myself, and those who are able to articulate why certain fits look better than others.

Not posting for an hour does not mean "I stopped posting". :poke:

    But seriously. Very well said.

It's an odd suggestion, I admit, but have you looked into cricket/tennis trousers? The kind that are worn at fancy tennis/cricket clubs? I have off-white tropical gabardine pants from here. Not quite in your range, but I'm sure there are other sellers. Also, Brooks Brothers.

If people were open minded enough to realize and accept that there's a certain "SF approved" style, and were open to actually learning, the forum would be a much better place. I kinda feel a lot of newer people now come to post pics and show off their gq friendly fits.

I guarantee there are people on here right now who took my approach and read a lot, said nothing, observed, and bought nothing until they could really pick some stuff out on their own without needing a pat on the back or a thumbs up from people. I think it's insanely stupid to binge buy as you're learning, regardless of income. You may as well wait until winter and throw that money into your fireplace to heat your living room - at least then it would serve a more practical purpose.

And also, for some reason the real thick heads always have booming voices to match, ha. But at least they announce their soon-to-be ignored presence instead of slowly revealing themselves to be a waste of time. I can appreciate that on some level.
