Also, pocket squares too matchy in the first two new options, and I don't like the third pocket square as worn with that medallion tie.

Of all these ties, I personally would only keep (maybe) the bottom two. But not to wear with this (great) suit.

Still not awake yet but a burgundy grenadine would probably work. Maybe even the burgundy medallion tie noodles picked up a while ago (not sure though). There's many other options too, but not any of those pictured above.

So I always am the first one to the gym. I pick whatever I want for music and get going. People usually start to roll in 20 min after me or so. I ask them if they'd like me to change the music and everyone always tells me it's fine.

So I show up this morning (here ATM in fact) and some dude is already here. I've seen this guy here at this time once, even though I've been in here like 18 out of the last 21 days. I'm stuck listening to celebrity "news" radio and commercials. Plus the guy is doing some sort of weird circuits where he walks about a quarter mile jumps off the treadmill and does curls (ON the only adjustable bench in the gym), then leg press and incline press. Move back to the treadmill and repeat. He throws weight around like he's a monster so I have to endure loud clangs and bangs on whatever machine he's on (he's NOT a monster). Worst gym day ever.

    Lolz.

Cox - great suit, I like tie 3 best but not with that PS, then tie 4. Ties and PSs 1 and 2 I strongly dislike. Strongly.

First fitting for the windowpane on the 19th! Gonna sit on the houndstooth for a while. Maybe use it for MTM.

Rudals, lots of fits get stuck at 17-19. I often go back and bump 19s to 20 when I back read.

But. I think that is part of why the requirement for 20 is a good number. In some ways it is rather arbitrary, but in other ways it is a decent demarcation.

Yeah, begging for thumbs is just poor manners. I won't taint the system by begging. I will just accept it.

ALL of my best fits are in that range. Granted I stopped posting just as the 20+ thread was really getting going, but none of my fits would have qualified.

That said, there was good reason for this. There were certainly problems with each one of them for one reason or another. There will always be the more generous thumbers that will get any decent outfit to about 15. However you will have to win the approval of at least a few of the harsher critics to make it over 20. This is a good thing IMO. If your fit is good enough it will make it without you having to beg for it.

Also I hate thumb begging. I think it is terrible, so take that into account.

    Very true.
Not hitting that 20+ mark while coming so close should have made me think of ways to improve so that I can get over the hump.
Let's see what I can do. That will be so much better than begging. That's just really pathetic, despite wanting it so badly.
