    MonkeyFace, that DB looks very nice! I'm with luv2beformed on tapering the leg. Or maybe I would but to 9".

    Thank you! I've got some pants coming in that are 9", so I'll try those on to see how I like it.

    I think I need to spice up my wardrobe. I have two more jackets coming from B&T and they are both blue. With them, I think I am finally done with blue. And now I want to move on to brown ("cool" brown so that it works well with gray). But that's unlikely to happen anytime soon unless I get a windfall large enough for Mrs. Clags to grant permission to get another jacket. More than likely I'll get something from Suit Supply sometime in the fall.

    In the mean time though, I'm wanting some shirts.

    So.

    Noodles Good Natured Advice Thread. I need some advice. Most of you folks know what I'm working with. Help me add some zest to my dress.

    Well, I wore this the other day (tattersall, not gingham):

    But a light gingham is probably something I could look into. Provided it was really light. Also perhaps I'll look into linen shirts.

    Consider shirt fabrics with more texture, character and play around with collars. Chambray, Linen - Chambray, Linen, Oxford, end to end etc.



    I need recommendations for a shantung tie (just one). Some sort of swiss army tie...

    +1 to Kulata. I moved to linen cotton and end on end almost exclusively for new shirts and the texture enhances almost every look

    I find that in many of your striped and checked shirts, like the one above, there is an over-abundance of white space. I'd try to add more hairline stripes or microchecks.

    A light gray gingham is definitely something I'd be interested in. Purples not so much.

    Maybe solid maroon shantung if you're only looking for one, and want it versatile enough. I'm assuming you've seen the one Conrad Wu sells but if not, definitely worth a glance.

    Clags, your instinct to get subtle versions of these patterns is right on. Bold shirts would do you no favors. Unless you actually need more shirts, though, I'd save that money to apply toward your next jacket.
