the very one and the same.
do not love.
looking for a reason not to buy it
do explain in more detail. always like getting your opinion
What if I had it resoled on dainite? (Guess at that price point of $565 + $100 resole it's better to just go MTO...)
Just dont like it. Shape, design, sole. Not appealing to me.
did you see my vawsh MTOs?
I like them with the commando soles.
clags, you're basically Unipair's main man: does he have any scotchgrain round toe derbies in stock? Dainite sole
Lemme text him
I did! I liked them.
No, I have no idea what I mean by that. I just wanted to say it.
stitchy, once again proving that he sees all of the forum. Even when he's away for passover.
Do you sneak peaks on tapatalk on pesach?
Some Edward Green boots and some derbies from Jala Sriwijaya.
I say go Jalan. I know you dislike cheap shoes (and these come in around 350 USD) but they are much nicer than either AE or Meermin. Think Meermin's design sense with AE's durability. Plus much better QC.
Edit: No, just Kakaotalk. A messaging service everyone here uses. He asks me about clothing, I ask him about shoes.
(Those are chocolate brown. They're appearing black on my monitor)
Also, I think I'm going to get one of these for frequent use:
Definitely don't like the commando sole on anything other than boots. Not worth it if you are just going to re-sole...MTO or find another RTW from another vendor.
my break was also during non holiday days where computer use was allowed. Thats when I saw them.
I like the pairs in Clags post btw.
clagster, im not a boot or longwing guy.
I think my favorite style for a derby is a punchcap, "alt wien" or a shortwing.
Least favorite derby styles: longwings, plain toe (exception: I might consider a tobacco suede or tan buck)
Anyone who's a 41R or 41L been on the lookout for a dual vented tweed jacket?
Double vent tweeds from good makers are VERY hard to find IMO.
Considered picking this up for myself, but it's a little too big.
Separate names with a comma.
