    Top 8?
    First: 1,2,3,5
    Second: 5
    Third: 1, 4
    Fourth: 1

This leaves you light on S/S ties (with only the 5th on the first row).

I love the 6th on the first, but it overlaps with the 5th on the second, and you've got plenty of solids and near solids.

Navy dot is neither pin nor polka. Smaller the dot, the more formal.

Is the 4th on the third solid brown? If not, I'd keep the brown wool in the first row.

I too love the 6th on the 1st row: Panta cashmere herringbone. That I'll keep regardless.

The navy dot I'm not crazy about, plus it's printed and I'd rather a knit, more like the one Noodles displayed earlier.

The 4th on 3rd is brown background set against a field of pale blue micro-dots.

JL, that is a minimalist tie collection, and none is objectionable. Keep them all.

Lol and possibly other expletives as well. Like maybe "Hola chicas!!" [IMG]
(apologies, I can be incredibly cheap and predictive at times, typically male stuff.)

Has anyone checked out Suitsupply lately, e.g. by following the link on SF? Not sure if you guys in the US can actually see the "uncensored" site edition (by click on "uncensored" on home page) as I'm using a VPN with European base at the moment. That's how you make a sale!

Yeah, it's viewable in the US - just a basic "view uncensored" look or something.

The SuitSupply thread has been interesting lately because you can tell it's people in denial they've been buying and touting a product that is clearly catering to the Maxim, FHM, and GQ magazines crowd :)

Yeah, it's hilarious. Of course SS doesn't advertise for the SF crowd, we're too small. Nevertheless, they do make nice suits for a nice price.

Still haven't been able to handle in person - the closest store is NYC I think which would be like a 5 hour drive for me.

Considering getting a navy blazer there since they're decently priced. The Havana usually catches my eye except I am not at all a fan of its high button stance. Not to mention I fall in between a 40R and 40L so I'd really prefer to try it on in person.

Before I joined SF, this is how lost I was.
Suit - RLBL (Lapels are narrow)
Shirt - RLBL (Collars are small and do not tuck under the jacket)
Tie - RLBL (Too narrow; 3")

Question: Why do this? What does making everything smaller accomplish? I am really curious.

Hey guys, wanna see if the following two tie kops were bonehead moves. Since I got my burgundy and olive challis, they have been the single most helpful ties for my f/w fits especially tweed. When the following two came up I thought they would help in that area as well being in the two other most desirable color ways.

However now I think they might be ties that don't know whether they are for suits or tweed being as they are neats but challis. I am especially concerned for the brown one in this regard. Have I done screwed up?

Challis works with rougher suits. I see nothing wrong with wearing one of those with flannel. So the question is: do you intend, at some point, to own several flannel suits?

Well I already own one, and wouldn't mind getting another at some point. They are very "professor" aren't they? So I suppose the answer is yes.

But my gut that they are suit only ties is correct? As opposed to the following lending itself to odd jackets because of the larger geometric?

Why all these purchases at once? Why not take your time and browse around? Is there a reason for what seems to be somewhat of an urgency in purchasing? [IMG]

    Thanks
