Looks too washed out to my eyes - something needs to pop more, probably the tie.
ZOMG WE CAN GO SHOPPING TOGETHER!!!!! --- jr - not bar per say, but it all looks kinda muddled and i am not sure that shirt is right for the SC.
I agree with TM79. Everything is too "slate". You need a stronger element in color to ground the outfit (although there is a place for such looks too, depending on the occasion). A darker blue tie would have suited better, perhaps (this is your new cashmere?). I'm not sure I like the shirt in this context, sort of jarring to my eye with the herringbone. Or, you could have tried to add some pop with an appropriate pocket square, perhaps a richer, darker brown with some rust/blue overtones.
I really only like the first and only if you don't have an olive.
I'm a 38R as well (ok 39), and I think 3 inch width ties too narrow. My sweet spot is 3.25 to 3 3/8. I will wear 3.5 inch ties happily but 3.75 definitely too wide. Knits are different, of course. Drakes does an 8cm which is officially 3.15 inches, I think (though always listed in US measurements as 3.25). Call me OCD, but they always feel more a 3 inch tie than a 3.25 inch...i.e. too narrow.
But this comes close to splitting hairs!
Do it, Noodles.
Then you really will have the face of the gif you poasted since you're shopping with the kopmaster!
thats it. we are going shopping together.
Glad to hear that we're going here...
Stitchy Missionary work, above and beyond the call of duty. You read the lone-working policy? Don't forget the speed dial, keep safe man.
...but don't go SF critiquing on me, Mr. Stitchie. I am leaving now. Will be on the redline. Friendsship Heights stop.
Wow...cool. Can you guys do a travel log? Kind of like that Rubinacci/Liverano thread by two members of the Forum?
we will try.
Stitches, cool of you to hang out with Noodles. He appreciates it I know, but I do too! Looking forward to any report.
