Looks too washed out to my eyes - something needs to pop more, probably the tie.

I agree with TM79. Everything is too "slate". You need a stronger element in color to ground the outfit (although there is a place for such looks too, depending on the occasion). A darker blue tie would have suited better, perhaps (this is your new cashmere?). I'm not sure I like the shirt in this context, sort of jarring to my eye with the herringbone. Or, you could have tried to add some pop with an appropriate pocket square, perhaps a richer, darker brown with some rust/blue overtones.

I really only like the first and only if you don't have an olive.

I'm a 38R as well (ok 39), and I think 3 inch width ties too narrow. My sweet spot is 3.25 to 3 3/8. I will wear 3.5 inch ties happily but 3.75 definitely too wide. Knits are different, of course. Drakes does an 8cm which is officially 3.15 inches, I think (though always listed in US measurements as 3.25). Call me OCD, but they always feel more a 3 inch tie than a 3.25 inch...i.e. too narrow.

But this comes close to splitting hairs!
