If I only had 5 shirts:

Light blue oxford button down collar
    [IMG]
    http://luxire.com/collections/oxford/products/classic-blue-summer-oxford

    Striped blue spread collar
    [IMG]
    http://luxire.com/collections/blue/products/blue_dress_stripes_gtz48783

    Striped blue button down
    [IMG]

    White twill spread
    [IMG]
    http://luxire.com/products/alumo-white-twill-2-100

    Light blue spread
    [IMG]
    http://luxire.com/products/sky-micro-herringbone

Keep in mind, if I could wear gray trousers, a blue jacket, and a brown tie every day, I would. 6-10 would probably have a blue check in there, a white OCBD, a white with brown stripes, maybe a white with gray stripes (which I still need to get actually), and probably another solid blue.

Ok, guys I really appreciate the feedback. Long shirt post to follow:

So I was going through my shirts that survived the purge, and it looks like I have a lot of non-essentials. A couple of ginghams, a pink spread collar, a brown/blue tattersall, etc. For all intents and purposes, I'm considering my current ocbd's out as they don't look great with a tie. The only things I have which really fall into essential category I think are:

    White twill semi-spread
    White twill spread double cuff
    Blue twill spread double cuff
    Blue/White striped cutaway
    Blue/White striped Kamakura pictured above

    ONLY the tattersall below:

So, I feel that for my needs I have "dressy" shirts covered pretty well. Again, bear in mind I can only wear suits 2-3 times a week currently at best, and even in those instances odd jacket would be more than appropriate. I REALLY lack casual shirts imo. Additionally, as odd jackets and more of the country variety are my more consistent speed, I am also focused more on casual fabrics, hence more ocbd's. I have compiled a "to acquire list" of 10 shirts and want to know what people think:

Two spring/summer ocbd's, white and light blue:

Two fall/winter ocbd's, blue and ecru:

One year round ocbd, White/Gray stripe:
(Something like this but without the thin gray stripe)

2 year round spread collars (twill or broadcloth?), light blue and narrow light blue stripe:

2 fall/winter spread collar checks, blue and brown (should these collars be button down?)

    1 spread collar brown stripe:

A final question. If Kamakura doesn't have what I want, what do you guys feel about sending one to Luxire and having it copied? Perfectly legitimate or not cool?

Any feedback is much appreciated. Thanks!

Bear in mind that those vintage Kamakuras fit differently from the normal ones. I don't like those vintage collars with a tie at all. If I were you I'd get at least 2-3 plain light blue OCBDs, depending on how often you do your laundry. You can wear light blue cotton shirts all year round, there isn't as much of a seasonality like with suits.

Sending a shirt to Luxire is perfectly legitimate. They should be able to copy the collar perfectly.

    Doodals, @Rudals hope you're well.

I was just wondering about your post elsewhere, I believe you are off to a colleague's wedding. Be interesting to hear what the groom rocked up in and what you thought.

Just out of interest, no pics necessary. I imagine the groom will look fab to all and sundry but maybe not quite to your high SF standards.

Hope you and the future Mrs Doodals have a good time regardless.

    @luv2breformed nipped in here yesterday

Just for interest sharing pics following our shoe chat some pages back

Nearly pulled trigger on one pictured here but bottled it. I may regret it, in fact I think I do already actually.

So awesome. I wish I knew my size and last. Sadly, I don't think I'll be getting to New York any time soon. Do you think it may be worthwhile to just kop blind and resell if they don't fit? Shipping costs may be a bit prohibitive . . .

Luv, I'd be cautious and of course we have time on our side. If you can try some on and get a feel for what works then let's go to work. I did say it was just out of interest, I typically might drop in there twice a month so no time pressure once again

The shoe I kopped I wore today, Lowndes 2

maybe should have also kopped the navy Monkton second row down first pic. I have it in snuff but did a quick tally of what to wear em with made me pass. Maybe wrong, but...
